ZIPR Magazine is a new arts-focused monthly publication based out of Detroit. The Zenith Index of Public Record (ZIPR) strives to be the go-to-source for experiencing Detroit through Arts & Culture.

We feature an all-inclusive Gallery Guide of the gallery and museum districts of Detroit with locational pins and listings. This is large chunk of our publication and, located at the center of our magazine, is truly the art and soul of ZIPR. By including almost 100 Detroit galleries in our guide, we have aligned a network of art hubs, residencies, gallery owners, and artists themselves working together to promote artistic engagement through a collective voice.

With exclusive interviews of Detroit artists, ZIPR provides an in-depth look into individual style and contributions to the city. Featuring local artist discounted advertisements to fit any starving artists budget, ZIPR attracts artists of many skill levels to advance their work, network and portfolio.

Along with an exclusive artist sticker page in every issue, ZIPR is really built for artists. From fine art to fashion and the musical arts, ZIPR strives to include all aspects of creativity.

At it’s core, ZIPR Magazine presents a range of ongoing learning platforms and opportunities, incorporating aspects and practices of graphic design, print layout, publishing, photography, marketing/advertising, web design, journalism, creative writing, and team art direction.

With a relentless hands on approach towards content and media production, brand development, and market strategy, ZIPR provides a constant learning opportunity for all involved, building seemingly limitless potential for ongoing growth within all aspects of the project.

We aspire to represent an expansive and genuine source of media while learning about the people who make up the whole of Detroit’s art community: artists, supporters, students, galleries, museums and incubators, the many faces and places that make our art community so special.
